DOB 19 August 2014
OFA Hips Prelim: Excellent
John is Co-Owned with myself and Larry and Sandy Sims of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Sims and I met at the Irish Setter Club of Central Oklahoma in May of 2012. Sandy saw me preparing a young puppy named Buster, and was instantly in a tearful state due to the striking similarities between that young dog, and a dog who owned her in the 70’s named Ch Terra Furman Sean Rock O’Erin, aka “Sean”.
A year later, the Sims came back to the same specialty to see if I would be there with Buster, and I was. We began talking some more, and before we knew it, the Sims became my fairy dogparents. They joined me the following weekend in Topeka, KS, where they saw Buster finish his championship, and two weeks later at the National in Ohio. Soon it became apparent that they were bound to re-enter the world of showing dogs. Before long, we found a young dog who needed owners who would take him to the level he deserved. That young dog turned out to be John. Sandy and Larry drove to Arizona to pick him up from Jan Smith of Jadestar Irish Setters, and the rest is history.
John went on to finish in style collect 5 major wins totaling 18 points before he was 12 months old, all at Specialty and specialty weekends. He was awarded multiple Best In Sweeps and Best Puppy wins. John is spending time growing up, with an occasional appearance at a local show to keep him on track. This boy’s future is bright!
