Al… Bo-Bo.
Renette Berggren knew what she was doing when she allowed me to co-own this boy. Handsome, sound, dramatic, silly, everything that would make me a lifelong Irish Setter addict. Few words could describe that bond. Renette made Al a Best In Specialty winner and a Group winner.
When I left for the US Army, Al went to Canada to be campaigned by Heidi Gervais. Heidi would go on to make Al a Canadian Multi-Best in Show winner, and have him ranked as one of Canada’s top dogs all breed. After his campaign, we placed Al with a man who would love him as much as I did, and he lived an incredible life.
Unfortunately, Renette and I never had the joy of a litter sired by Al, but that dream isn’t over yet.
Thank you big buddy, for being my first show dog. You’ll always lead the way.
